EnviroIssues helped the City of Carnation make wastewater infrastructure a reality. Carnation partnered with King County to build a wastewater treatment plant and sewer system connections throughout the city. EnviroIssues provided on-the-ground community relations support including strategizing with the contractor and city to distribute information to all affected properties – both residential and commercial. We provided advance information of construction activity to ensure needs were met and staffed of a 24-hour construction hotline for inquiries and concerns.
Cascade Water Alliance is embarking on a one-of-a-kind project to ensure that communities will have access to clean water as growth continues in our region. The Tacoma-Cascade Pipeline is an innovative project that will bring safe and reliable water to residents in eight cities and water districts in eastern King County. EnviroIssues is supporting this project through community relations and outreach as construction begins. Our team is responsible for coordinating and staffing a 24-hour construction hotline, responding to citizen inquiries, producing public information materials, and working with the construction manager, public outreach coordinators at Cascade Water Alliance, and contractors to assure messages are coordinated and construction activities adequately anticipated for communities affected by construction.

EnviroIssues helped the Idaho State Department of Environmental Quality establish dialogue among water users, environmental groups, and local, state and federal government entities in developing Idaho's water body assessment process. We facilitated educational workshops on the Water Body Assessment Guidance, Idaho Stream Ecological Assessment Framework, and Idaho River Ecological Assessment Framework,
and solicited public input about the assessment process.

A thirteen-member independent review panel was convened by a Portland City Commissioner to address tough questions about pending federal drinking water regulations and public safety issues of open drinking water reservoirs. Covering the historic, heavily used Mt. Tabor Reservoirs in a well-loved city park raised substantial public concern. EnviroIssues developed the panel's decision-making process, facilitated meetings, and provided administrative support for the independent review panel. Recommendations were forwarded to the City Council after a streamlined 90-day deliberation process, resulting in prompt action.
