Seattle Office Positions

Web Technologies Guru
We are looking for a unique individual to grow with our technology services department. We have a great opportunity to bring technical services to our clients and help communicate complex issues to members of the public.

Build stuff from scratch: You will never be bored with a wide range of tasks. From working with our design staff on basic HTML/CSS sites to creating more complex data driven applications.

Integrate 3rd party services: Do you know of a 3rd party solution that is brilliant and would be great for our clients? This could be anything from the latest online project management tool to some AJAX component. Then let’s figure out how to get it setup!

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience developing and deploying Internet sites and applications.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with C#, .NET, and PHP.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access. MySQL is a plus.
  • Flash development a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to evaluate, learn and implement new and emerging technologies.

Accounting Assistant
EnviroIssues is seeking a finance/accounting professional to assist with all accounting functions to support our Accounting department. A successful candidate will have an accounting background and be well versed in Accounts Receivable, Invoicing/Billing, Cash Receipts, Payables, Account Analysis and Reconciliations. General knowledge of Payroll Processing, Tax Preparation, Expense Report Processing and General Ledger Reports are also beneficial.

The position requires a team player, who has the ability to multi-task. Must be professional, well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

This position also requires a minimum of five years of direct experience in an office accounting position and/or a minimum of an Associates Degree in a business related field. Qualified applicant with have excellent MS Office skills, including Excel and Word. Experience with Deltek a plus.

Mid-Level Communications/Outreach Associate
Qualified applicants will have at least five years experience planning and conducting outreach or public involvement activities, or community/public relations, city or state planning, or general communications experience. Applicants must have excellent management and oral and written communication skills. This position requires the ability to understand and explain technical and environmental information to a variety of audiences, often in high-profile situations. Knowledge of Seattle and transportation related issues desired. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).

Communications/Outreach Associate
Qualified applicants will have at least two years experience planning and conducting outreach or public involvement activities, or community/public relations, city or state planning, or general communications experience. Applicants must have excellent management and oral and written communication skills. This position requires the ability to understand and explain technical and environmental information to a variety of audiences, often in high-profile situations. Knowledge of Seattle and transportation related issues desired. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).

Project Coordinator
We are looking for a recent graduate in a relevant field or a candidate with one to two years of experience to support our Seattle office projects. Primary responsibilities include support for a variety of transportation and environmental projects, including maintaining project databases, compiling meeting summaries, preparing publication materials, and coordinating public outreach efforts. This individual must be able to demonstrate attention to detail, excellent writing, good organizational and computer skills (especially Access, Excel and HTML), and the ability to adapt to changing environments and work with multiple project teams and topics.
