Getting the complex message across in a
simple way. Harder than it sounds, and a
daily challenge on our sensitive, high-profile projects. We illustrate technical information, develop key messages, design user-friendly information materials, and work with the media. In-house graphics design means that EnviroIssues can take a communications piece from initial concept through delivery. Creative design concepts, tailored to client formats and design standards, tell the story on all elements of our projects. We coordinate printing and distribution, and we work with clients to get the look and feel they want.
Public Works Department Strives to Better Serve Customers

EnviroIssues worked with Pierce County Public Works and Utilities to help department staff analyze their current public outreach and communication tools. We created a portfolio of the department’s communication materials and interviewed managers and staff to determine possible communication gaps. Following a thorough review, we created a digest of our findings that included effective messaging strategies and potential opportunities
for outreach.

Creating a Cohesive Campaign

EnviroIssues worked with Children’s Hospital to create a suite of material to inform the community about the hospital’s newly adopted strategic plan. Distinctive print, display, and Web site materials were developed to educate the community on the key aspects of the expansion plan. The collateral designed was unique in appearance while maintaining the Children’s Hospital brand.

Building a Strong Identity

Chambers Creek, located in Pierce County, is one of the largest public landholdings in the Puget Sound region. Recently, the county began creating parks and development parcels on what was once old mining land. EnviroIssues worked closely with Pierce County communicators during the logo development process to help Chambers Creek develop a neighborhood identity that highlighted the work being accomplished in the region.

Designing a Conservation Plan

EnviroIssues assisted the Snohomish County Public Works department in creating a clear, visually appealing salmon conservation plan. With hundreds of technical pages to include, our team was able to create a layout that contained maps, images, and was user-friendly while maintaining its
technical integrity.
