The Queen Anne Water System Improvement project will increase water storage capacity and water pressure for approximately 600 single-and multi-family properties, and improve the seismic reliability of the Queen Anne water system. Seattle Public Utilities is replacing two aging and deteriorated water tanks with a single 2 million gallon tank and installing a new underground pump station. EnviroIssues is providing communication and community outreach support during construction of this project.

EnviroIssues is supporting the Seattle City Council as they independently evaluate the site selection options for a fire station in a dense neighborhood. We lead a team of outreach and technical experts to design and implement a fully integrated and transparent community outreach and site evaluation process. Our work includes strategic outreach planning, stakeholder and community meeting facilitation, public information materials, media relations and thorough coordination of public input and technical work.

Rapid population growth in the Puget Sound region led King County to build Brightwater, a third wastewater treatment plant. EnviroIssues has supported this project since the pre-design phase. We developed and executed a community outreach plan for the underground and surface conveyance facilities for the system, within a 14-mile corridor. We were on the ground during geotechnical investigations and construction, and we served project needs as we identified the issues and concerns of all parties, informed the public about geotechnical work in their neighborhoods, developed outreach materials, and planned and implemented community meetings, technical workshops, seminars, and site tours.

Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center is dedicated to providing all children with state of the art treatment and cutting edge research. Children’s new strategic plan calls for regional growth in both campus facilities and research capabilities. EnviroIssues is proud to be supporting Children’s through the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications and public outreach program, facilitating dialogue with facility neighbors, regional supporters, and patient families.
